It was November 2019.

He was the security guy at the bar - tall, serious-looking, with a backwards hat, and totally unaware that he was about to fall for a girl who barely knew how to hold a pool cue. (He taught me. I still lost.)

Then, fate - maybe it was the music, brought us together again at another bar. This time, he swept me off my feet - literally lifted me out of a booth like some kind of romantic action hero.

We ended up talking in the car until 4am. Covering everything from life dreams to favorite snacks. I cried happy tears - knowing something beautiful had just begun.

Fast forward five and a half years - and we are still laughing, still in love, and still slightly competitive over pool.
